I'm in a similar phase right now, stepping away from full-time work after years on a remote contract. At first it felt like freedom, something I had always dreamed of, but over time it became surprisingly restrictive, tied to that same 9-to-5 rhythm.
Now I'm trying to sort through many opportunities and decide which ones truly matter. I like how you frame priorities through the newsletter's perspective, it brings clarity and purpose to the chaos.
It's a dilemma for sure, but I'm honestly happy to have one like this.
Got you. Right, there are many pros to it but also cons and as you have mentioned: when there are multiple things to focus on, you might miss the really important ones.
The clarity and knowing what you want makes a difference.
Congratulations Gregor. Very inspiring! I also write for engineers gunning for, or already in, leadership roles. I also write from a story based approach and share a hardware engineering perspective (software seems to be the prevailing topic in our space!). It's really cool to see your progression. It motivates me to keep going! Consistency, persistence and bringing value really seems to be key :)
Thanks a lot Rob! Great to hear you are on this path as well and story based approach for writing sounds great. Indeed, consistency over time and persistence -> good things will happen!
What an amazing 3 years!
Good luck for the next 3, Gregor! :)
Thanks a lot Michał, appreciate it! Looking forward to the next 3 :)
