Define goals and objectives

Make sure to use your 1:1s to focus on career progression and goals for your members. There should be clear actionable objectives to reach the goals and those objectives normally contain learning a new skill or improving an existing one.

There is no better way of being focused and motivated to learn than having a clearly defined goal ahead of you.
