Intro

We are living in very unfortunate times with a lot of layoffs happening. I hope this would be helpful to at least some of you that are looking for new engineering positions at this time.

Interviews may seem daunting and stressful, but if you are prepared correctly, they can become quite fun and a good way to talk about tech with like-minded people.

I have interviewed hundreds of engineers throughout my career and here are some tips that can help you to be successful when interviewing.

  1. Say “I don’t know” if you don’t know

Instead of trying to “wing it” and hope that you get the answer correct, rather say that you don’t know. That will show a sign of seniority. It’s a lot worse if you get the answer wrong but you come out very confident believing it’s correct.
