Love the idea of the influence diagram! It sounds like something obvious and easily overlooked, when in reality drawing it will help to decide who to get on your side, and whose opinions weigh less in conversations
Right, this might be obvious when someone says it :) But then we usually forget when we are in the middle of focusing on getting a certain initative across, and spend a lot of time trying to persuade someone, who doesn't actually make so much sense.
