Good devops work. But I can't help wondering, why were all those jobs running endlessly in the first place, and is there a more systemic issue that the developers need to fix? What are the repurcussions of those jobs never being completed?

These jobs were running endlessly because they relied on some physical devices that were not turned on at the moment of execution. These were supposed to be daily jobs, which means one job would be enqueued every day at midnight. Since it takes a while (sometimes days) for developers to find that these jobs are running, multiple jobs would be enqueued, wasting valuable resources that can also be utilized for more critical tasks.

Excellent post Alberto Gonzalez Rosales, congratulations to Gregor Ojstersek for his vision of showing his audience such an important topic.

In times when companies turn their sights to tools such as artificial intelligence to improve their processes, a critical look at the data together with the definition of good analysis criteria can give better results in less time and cheaper

Right, well said about importance of data. Data is just going to be more and more important as time goes by and knowing how to leverage it and analyze it well, will be more and more highly worth!
